Simchat Torah Celebration and Oct. 7th Yizkor

A DAY TO REMEMBER A NIGHT TO REJOICE!!
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Jewish community of Howard County will gather at Chabad Lubavitch of Howard County for a memorial service honoring the over 1,200 victims of the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks in Israel. The event will feature the recitation of the Yizkor prayer and a candle-lighting ceremony to honor the victims. The program will also include a special children's program a joyous Simchat Torah celebration with singing, dancing, and a Kosher dinner.
Event Schedule.
6:00 - Yizkor Memorial Service (Childcare available)
6:45 Family Simchat Torah program begins downstairs with child friendly dinner - Evening prayer services upstairs
7:10 - Intergenerational Holiday candle lighting.
7:15 - Kiddush, hors d'oeuvres and Open Bar
7:30 - Hakafot dancing
8:00 - Hot dinner buffet opens - Hakafot continue
