About Us

Gan Israel Preschool provides a combination of Jewish religious studies and secular academic programming to young children from 6 weeks old through age five. Our school develops a strong Jewish identity in each child through positive play as well as reinforcing the skills of socialization needed for continued learning and socializing with the world around us. We provide a warm and accepting school climate which encourages participation in Jewish rituals, celebration of Jewish holidays, study of the Torah through stories and songs, as well as those readiness skills required for success in secular school settings. The children are thereby prepared to enter public elementary schools or Jewish Day School. They have a clear understanding of themselves as Jews and an ability to live successfully in a secular society without compromising their Jewish beliefs. We ask parents to join us as a partner in the Jewish life and secular education of their children.
Our goal is to create a positive environment in which each student feels the joy in learning and can grow both as a Jew and as an educated citizen of the world.

Gan Israel provides our students with a rich secular program in English, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Children in our school learn the fundamentals of the Hebrew language and the culture and traditions of Jewish observance.
Children are naturally curious, active explorers of their environment. They are eager to learn and to share their knowledge with others. Our curriculum is designed to channel the energy and enthusiasm of the child to create an appreciation of and eagerness to participate in traditional Judaism, a recognition of one's own worth, an understanding of each individual's responsibility to the social group, and a desire for intellectual adventure.
We believe that each child is a treasure and our task is to create an environment in which they can grow, mature and learn, each in their own way.
‘Educate each child each in their own way, and when they grow old, they will not stray from it’.
Our teachers are examples of moral adult behavior, conveyors of knowledge, nurturers, and guides to act in the capacity of mentor, guide, model, coach and leader for our students.
